There is so much going on in the world today, so many tragic events taking place every day - I'm tired of sitting back wondering what I can do to make a difference.
This is the first post on this site, and I'm hoping to make it short and to the point.

Recently a natural catastrophe hit Joplin, Mo - a city of about 50,000. At least 116 people have been reported dead in Joplin. It's been said that 25 percent to 30 percent of the city has been damaged by the tornado, which was reportedly 3/4 of a mile wide, with winds of nearly 200 mph.

There are several networks that are providing relief to the city - and I'm hoping to start another. I would like to coordinate a fundraiser for the city and the families ravaged by this disaster. If you're willing to donate a little money, time, or items to help these people get back on their feet it would be greatly appreciated by all.

Just remember, this can happen to anyone, god forbid  - your friends, family, neighbors. Stand up and stand together to bring the world back on track.
